How to feed a crowd and enjoy it!

How to feed a crowd and enjoy it!

Our tips and pre-prepared dishes will have you relaxing with your guests, enjoying their company and complements instead of spending hours alone in the kitchen.

As we move into winter, you can’t go wrong with a curry night. Everyday Gourmet’s Lamb Rogan Josh and Beef Rendang are popular and the vegetarians will love our vegetable tikka masala, but the Butter Chicken is the most popular in the range.  The chicken is marinated in aromatic tandoori paste, slow roasted and then simmered in our creamy butter sauce.

For a delicious but simple 3 course Indian Banquet, we recommend:

To Start: Tandoori Lamb Samosas, Chicken Tikka Skewer. Bake in the oven and serve with a home-made mint raita – see our recipe below.

Main: Butter Chicken, Roti Bread, with rice & poppadums from your pantry, you’re good to go. If you’d like to add a side of veggies, roasted cauliflower or any steamed greens would go well.

Dessert: Tropical Paradise Cake – perfect on its own, so no need to add a thing.

To Drink: most would argue that beer is the only drink that goes with curry, but if you’re a wine lover, choose a chardonnay.

Quick mint raita

Add ½ cup plain yoghurt, 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint, 1 tsp fresh lemon juice, a pinch each of sea salt and ground black pepper to a bowl, mix and serve.

If curry is not your thing, we have many other great options - take a look!

All the products sold by Everyday Gourmet have been developed by chefs to restaurant quality standards and are easy to prepare and serve.  Imagine – hours of messy work done by someone else and you can take the credit!
